Cherokee Fire and Rescue strives to protect the property and lives from fire loss and accidents on the Qualla Boundary and to provide this support to the surrounding area.

Departments:

Our mission as life safety educators is to help achieve fire prevention and protection for the families of the Qualla Boundary by educating individuals of all ages on life safety skills imparting knowledge through a stimulating series of instructional classes.
Our mission as fire inspectors is to protect the life and property of residents and visitors of the Qualla Boundary through an aggressive inspection program, identifying and eliminating fire hazards and deficiencies through active enforcement of the North Carolina Fire Code.
Our mission as special operations units is to provide a broad scope of emergency assistance within the arena of our capabilities and realm of our certifications for the residents of the Qualla Boundary and visitors alike.

Volunteer Programs

Our mission as volunteer firefighters is to provide emergency assistance to professional firefighters of the Qualla Boundary, serving in the capacity of support to certified fire and rescue personnel.

Our mission as auxiliary members is to provide diverse support with vivacity and reverence to the firefighters of the Qualla Boundary and their families.
