| The Center provides primary health services to youth including preventive services and behavioral health. In schools, we provide the school nurses for basic health services. We also introduce students to occupations in the health field through instruction and the Health Occupations Students of America Club (HOSA).
HEALTH SERVICES – AGES 4-22
• Sports physicals
• Well child physicals
• School physicals including pre kindergarten physicals
• Immunizations including: pre kindergarten, tetanus boosters, MMR, PPD, HEp B series, polio, Hib, Flu and DTap
• Labs including HIV, STD and diabetes screenings, pregnancy test and rapid strep screenings
• Acute care including episodic illnesses such as sore throats and flu, minor injuries and first aid, and asthma evaluations
• Family planning including abstinence and contraception information and services.

PREVENTIVE SERVICES
• Nutrition education and weight management
• Counseling and consultation regarding child and adolescent development
• Health career counseling
• Health education
• Tobacco, alcohol, inhalant and drug use awareness education
ANALENISGI SERVICES – AGES 4-22
• Individual, group and family therapy
• Treatment for depression, anxiety, behavioral problems, attention deficit disorders, grief and adjustment problems, other emotional problems
ELIGIBILITY/REGISTRATION
The Center provides comprehensive health services to youth and their families who are eligible to receive health services at Cherokee Indian Hospital. Appropriate parental consent forms must be on file at QYHC. Parents are encouraged to accompany their children, but are not required to if the consent is on file. Consents may be obtained at QYHC. |

CHILD CARE HEALTH CONSULTANT
As health care professionals with specialized training and experience in child health issues, Child Care Health Consultants can provide expert guidance and technical assistance to child care providers on a wide range of health and safety topics. In addition, the consultant also has the training to access appropriate resources to assist the child care provider in successfully including children with special health, medical and/or behavioral needs.
SCHOOL-BASED NURSING SERVICES
The school nurses provide comprehensive health care during school including offering prevention education, health screenings and providing assistance with individual needs.

HEALTH OCCUPATIONS
The Health Occupations teacher at Cherokee High School offers instruction in allied health sciences, to better prepare students that plan to pursue pos-secondary education in a health related field. The school has a chapter of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA). The students have clinical workshops, special programming and receive guidance counseling specific to health care careers.
