Citizen Complaint
Community Members,
In the link below you will find the Citizen’s Complaint Form which will be used to file a formal complaint on Cherokee Police Department Personnel. The citizen complaint process was implemented to ensure that all Police Department Personnel complaints are investigated in a way which is fair to the complainant as well as the officer. The public has a right to know that complaints are being filed and investigated without fear of retaliation or reprisal. I ask the community to trust that we will follow through with this complaint process and treat everyone involved fairly. We are committed to providing the best possible public safety service to the community as well as being a part of the community.
1. Please print this form and fill it out completely or submit your complaint online. Be specific when describing any allegations of misconduct. If you need assistance of any kind, someone will assist you. Be sure to complete this form prior to your interview with the investigating official. 2.
